Reflection I was learning to show Similarities and Differences between two New Zealand Native birds. I found it easy because I just need to find facts about birds. I enjoy founding Fantails fact.

Reflection In this activity I was learning to skim and scan to find facts about the fantail. I worked with a buddy. I found this interesting and learnt lots about fantails.

Reflection
I was learning to write a explanation about how to grow lettuces. I found it easy because we planted our own lettuces so I could explain how to grow them. Next time I need to think about adding conjunctions such as 'because' to explain why we do it.

I was learning to write a exaggeration poem. I found it tricky because I need to check it is make sense and I need to use exaggeration. I learnt that exaggeration is like imagining big and small.

In this activity I was learning to define a habitat. We talked about it as a class and then I worked with a buddy on a definition.

I was learning how to use the place vale with 3 digit numbers.  It was easy because I just need to count material in hundred, tens and ones. My next step is add 2 digit numbers using place value.

I was learning how to take care our environment.  I was enjoyed this a activity because I learnt how to take care our environment.

In this activity I was learning how to make a tapa.  It was tricky to draw the pictures but I still enjoyed making the tapa.

I was learning to play  soft ball and how to run to the base.  I found it easy because I just needed to run to the base.  I enjoyed playing soft ball because I learnt so much.

I was learning how to find information in non-fiction text by skimming and scanning. I found it easy skimming and scanning. Next step is to read the questions correctly and answer them correctly.

Pepeha - Skimming and Scanning

Reflection I was learning how to explain what a pepeha is and I can find information in the text to help me answer the questions. I found this easy to skim and scan to find the information.  Next I need to work on finding the meaning of words in a dictionary.

Reflection In this activity I was learning to do a statistical enquiry. I found it tricky to know if I had asked everybody about their favourite food. I could ask and answer questions correctly.

Welcome to my Year 4 learning blog.  This Year I am in Room 14 and my teacher is Mrs Prendergast. I enjoyed doing my Rainbow Fish and I am enjoying doing All About Me. This Year I am looking forward to Maths.  I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
